Andrea Griffith is the creative force behind the syndicated TV and Web Series,
'Georgia Life & Style'. This dynamic, weekly, magazine-style program has aired in
the Atlanta, Greenville/Spartanburg and Macon markets. She founded the program,
and the media company that produces it, in 2004 after close to two decades in
broadcast news. In conjunction, Andrea blogs on food, fashion, travel, and pop
culture for various sites and produces lifestyle content for www.galifeandstyle.com.
Along with her role as a media entrepreneur, Andrea is an award winning News
Anchor/Reporter, Writer and Producer. As a champion of women's issues, in the
aftermath of our War on Terror, Andrea spent time with military wives, exploring, in
depth, the personal battles of those left behind. Andrea has also taken on 'The
Beauty Battle' and the pressure to 'measure up' (physically) in today's society. This
series touched on sensitive subjects such as eating disorders, teen body images,
and plastic surgery. In addition, Andrea produced a five part series on school
safety, talking intimately with students about their concerns. In a follow up report,
she looked at violent media influences and how they affect children.
During her many years in television, Andrea has interviewed countless newsmakers
and celebrities. Some of her most memorable include a sit down interview with
Denise Brown, discussing issues of domestic violence and the murder of sister,
Nicole Brown Simpson. Andrea also garnered a market exclusive interview with
Naomi Judd on Judd's battle with Hepatitis C and the healing power of prayer. She
counts the thrill of talking one-on-one with Astronaut Ken Mattingly about his role
in Apollo 13 as one of her favorites. Nick Clooney also ranks amongst her favorites
because...well...he's George's dad and they look so much alike!
Before breaking into television, Andrea worked as a News Anchor and host for radio
stations in several markets. She's also freelanced through a FOX affiliate as a
sideline reporter for Class A baseball team, the Kinston Indians.
Along with her extensive television, radio and online work, Griffith uses her
knowledge as a broadcaster and entrepreneur to consult individuals who aim to
create their own local TV and web programming.
Andrea is a 1995 graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville,
GA. She is an alumni of Phi Mu Fraternity where she served as Philanthropic
Chairperson.
Andrea continues to produce segments and special programs on travel,
entertainment and pop culture. She is currently at work on a music & entertainment
series which is set to debut in 2009.
